It was an opportunity for public comment Georgia the construction of the two additional nuclear Waynesboro plants that are being constructed at Plant Vogtle. This is a regularly scheduled review, in which the staff of the Public Service Commission provides reports to the Commission and intervenes beforehand. The interveners, of which Nuclear Watch South and Southern Alliance for Clean Energyare twoare required to submit their testimony in advance and are allowed to cross-examine the staff. The day before the review, Glenn Carroll, of Nuclear Watch South, received an order disallowing her testimony at the request of Georgia Power.

It appears they did not like her comments about the lack of a need for more power, which they have not denied despite Glenn sharing the information for the past couple of years. After coaching from Glenn, Betsy questioned the staff on several points in their reports; however, she was not allowed to question the need for more power. Thank you Betsy for stepping in for Glenn when she was denied the right to make statements.
